Some general info on Coomba.

Many Coomba homes have panoramic views across the lake and all the way to the coast, which is comparatively close as the pelican flies. The area’s stand-out beaches are Blueys, Boomerang, Celitos and Elizabeth all an easy drive from Coomba Park and/or you can boat into Forster-Tuncurry in ten minutes. Coomba is a place where you can keep a boat moored and be out fishing or sailing within moments from your are home.

Surrounded by nature and abundant native wildlife, Wallis Lake provides every imaginable opportunity for watersports and swimming (in a netted lakeside pool).

These days the village of Coomba Park (6 minutes from your door) is the fulcrum for a thriving community. Where amenities and facilities were once lacking they were created by locals. A community hall was established and remains well used and an Aquatic Club was created on land at the lakeside for boaters and those keen on fishing. The Club now boasts more than two hundred members and owns several different types of small boats in which members can learn to sail. Its picnic grounds are also a weekly meeting spot for Friday night barbecues.

The community is served by a general store which inlcudes a petrol station and bottle shop. The area has weekly council garbage and recycling collections. School buses ferry children the short distance to and from the local primary school at Pacific Palms and/or to Forster High School each morning and afternoon.
