The application form will ask questions about your address, work, previous renting situation and to supply the names of people that will give you a reference. You cannot be forced to fill out this form but if you don't, you may not be considered for the tenancy.
So you have found the property you want to
move into and you are wanting to know what to do next? In most cases
prospective tenants will need to formally apply for the property by completing
an application form to the real estate agent or landlord.
The application form will ask questions about your
address, work, income, and previous renting situation and to supply the names
of people that will give you a reference.
If your application is approved,
you may be asked to pay a holding fee of up to 1 week's rent. If the agent or
landlord asks you for a holding fee they must keep the premises for you at
least seven days and the property cannot be offered to anyone else during this
time.
