Celebrity News: Is the long wait over for Mel Gibson?

After almost 3 years of waiting Mel Gibson can breathe a sigh of relief, with news that his Old Mill Farm property in Greenwich, Connecticut, may have finally sold.
Having cut the original asking price by close to $US10 million the property is now reported to be under contract.
The 75-acre estate was first listed on the market in mid 2007 for the grand asking price of $US39.5 million. Since then, the property’s asking price dropped to $US35 million in September 2008, and again in late 2009 after a tumultuous year for the US Real Estate market as well as the star’s personal life.
Built in 1926, the property was designed by architect Charles Lewis Bowman and is one of the last great manor homes in Greenwich. The 15,800 square feet Elizabethan-inspired Tudor mansion consists of 15 bedrooms and 18 bathrooms total.
The most notable feature of the property is perhaps the great hall featuring 40-foot cathedral ceiling with stone minstrel’s gallery, walk-in fireplace and lead glass ceilings.
For the out-doors type the property also includes a terrace pool, tennis court, greenhouse, stable, staff house.
