Solar Rebate to drop by 20%
Australia's Climate Change Minister, Greg Combet, delivered another blow to the solar industry and households wanting to install solar power systems last week by announcing further reductions to the Solar Credits program.
It was only in December last year that the government announced a reduction, with the news that a further 20% would be slashed off the credits scheme come July 1st 2011.

With electricity prices increasing across Australia many people are looking to install solar electricity to help protect against these inevitable rising costs.
Through installing the solar panels, households would not only be doing their bit for the environment but, under the government’s solar credits scheme, excess energy collected from solar panels can be sold back to utility companies, further reducing the cost of a monthly household utility bill.
