Australia, and is located upon the Swan River in the south-west of the state.
Description
Perth's CBD is the cultural, administrative, and commercial capital
of Western Australia, as well as its largest city. Perth is recognised as one
of the most isolated metropolitan areas on the planet, with the nearest major

facilities in the form of shopping centres, restaurants, hospitals and sporting
facilities. Kings Park, a 4 square kilometre park at the western edge of the
CBD, provides numerous recreational opportunities for residents, while the
suburb also includes a number of other parks and reserves such as Langley Park.
The Royal Perth Hospital is located in the Perth CBD, as is
the Perth Cultural Centre, which includes the Art Gallery of Western Australia
and the Western Australian Museum. Sporting facilities in the suburb include Perth
Oval, tennis courts, and the Perth Arena, an indoor stadium currently under
construction which, once completed, will host indoor sports such as basketball.
