Bonnie Doon’s most famous holiday residence is hot on the market.
Featured in the 1997 Australian classic film, The Castle, the two bedroom property is expected to fetch around $195,000.
Selling agent, Dean Shipley from RT Edgar Real Estate, has said, “The last time it sold we were getting calls every ten minutes on the phone. And a lot of them were fun calls, asking us the price and then telling us they're ‘dreamin’ and hanging up.”
Items from the hit movie's on-screen family, the Kerrigans, including Tracey Kerrigan’s Diploma of Hairdressing from Sunshine TAFE and Darryl Kerrigan’s cabinet of treasured gifts will be included in the sale of the house.
The Castle, famous for the catch phrase “how’s the serenity” was filmed in just 11 days on a budget of AU$19,000.
